Types of Car Seats
Infant Car Seats
Designed to be used beginning with newborns (4 lbs) up to 30 lbs. This exclusively rear-facing infant car seat typically snaps in and out of a car seat base for maximum portability and may also attach to a stroller.
Convertible Toddler Car Seats
These versatile toddler car seats can be rear or forward facing. Their higher weight limits allow your child to be in a rear-facing car seat for longer, which is the safest position. Once you're ready for a forward-facing car seat, you simply pivot the seat into the correct position.
Swivel Car Seats
These swivel car seats dock and then rotate into position, making it easier to buckle baby securely while also saving parents from back pain.
Merino Wool Car Seats
Raise the bar on safe, enjoyable travel with an infant or toddler car seat outfitted in a luxuriously soft Merino Wool blend fabric.
With naturally fire-resistant fibers, and Oeko-Tex® Standards 100 certification, Orbit Baby’s Merino Wool car seats (which come in an Infant and Toddler Car Seat series) passes federal safety standards and features a fire retardant-free (FR-free), high-performance textile with moisture-wicking, odor-reducing properties and excellent airflow.

What testing and safety standards do Orbit Baby car seats follow?
We meet and exceed all government regulations set by the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and ASTM International. Both the G5+ Infant Car Seat and G5 Toddler Seat pass FMVSS 302 and FMVSS 213 safety tests.
Additionally, all of our products are certified by the Juvenile Product Manufacturers Association (JPMA), and we submit various fabrics and materials to Oeko-Tex® for testing and certification of harmful levels of toxic substances.
What are the age and height requirements for the G5+ Infant Car Seat?
The G5 Infant Car Seat is for infants 4 - 30 lbs (1.8 - 13.6 kg) and 17 - 32 in (48 - 81 cm). For low birth weight babies, use the Infant Insert (included) to improve the harness fit.
What are the age and height requirements for the G5 Toddler Car Seat?
Rear Facing:
Weight: 15-35 lbs
Height: shoulders must be at or above the lowest harness height
Age: Able to sit upright alone
Forward Facing:
Weight: 25-65 lbs
Height: ears must be below the top of the shell and their shoulders below the highest harness slot.
Age: 2+ years recommended (1 year minimum)
